英语口语课的外教，是个很幽默的美国大叔。他自称“old dirty man”，而事实或许也正是如此，但是作为一个朋友，偶尔和他搭搭话还是挺有乐趣的。口语课的期中考试是准备一段演讲，在我的努力下终于把话题定为了“music”，于是，也就有了下面这段小演讲。
Hello, everyone. Let me start my speech this moment. As you know, I will tell you something about music.
I am interested in both classical music and pop one. For example, I love Mozart’s symphonic works, such as Prague Symphony. And I also like the bands like Baskstreet Boys and Westlife, and the singers like Celine Dion and Britney Spears. I should tell you, I like Get Down, My Love, My Heart Will Go On and Baby One More Time very much. Actually I like songs such as Say You Say Me and Auld Lang Syne too.
But now, I just want to talk something about the music and films. We all know a classical musical film, The Sound of Music. There are lots of classical songs in the film, such as Do Re Mi, The Lonely Goat-herd, and Edelweiss, etc. These songs made the film more interesting, and they touched audiences deeply in the heart.
Not only in the musical film but also in every film, music plays an important part. Music just like the medicine of the image in the film. Because when audiences nearly witness all activities from the true world in a film, they can not hear the corresponding sound from it, what would it be? They will feel unaccommodated in their sense organs.
I think music is not merely for the truly life-force which image short of, it can remove audiences’apprehension and unaccommdated feelings when they see a film.
So music is important in a film, and it is also improtant in our daily life.
